Painting by the River at Dusk

This workshop will be held at 2 sites on the Schuylkill river, at dusk. All levels are welcome. Some experience with oils and good background in drawing is important.  If you are new to plein air painting, you will learn how to select a location, develop a composition, work with changing light and analyze color and tonal relationships within the landscape. If you are an experienced painter and just want to work on your own and participate in the group critiques, that is fine too. Participants are asked to bring a minimum of 3 small boards or canvases to each session. We will work quickly to try to capture the changing light.  The first day we will meet near boathouse row at the back of the art museum. The 2nd session will be held in East Falls at the end of Kelly Drive.
