Ice-Out Fundraiser
In January, I completed a painting a day, as part of a challenge hosted by Strada Easel.
By doing these 31 paintings, I put myself in the running for a new easel, and the process was rewarding for many other reasons. These generally small pieces were done from life, alla prima (in one sitting).
While working inside my studio this icy January, I couldn’t help but be aware of the news going on outside in the real world, especially the mishandling of the immigration crackdown by ICE, and the deaths of Renée Good and Alex Pretti. I have decided to offer these small paintings for sale and donate the proceeds to an organization that provides services to aid immigrants and to fight the illegal actions of ICE. I have selected NIJC. This organization is a vetted national organization, recommended by a lawyer friend.

The National Immigrant Justice Center
"The National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) defends the rights of immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.
Their advocacy and legal services teams keep families together, free people from the dangers of immigrant detention, and prevent asylum seekers and long-time community members from being deported based on unjust laws and illegal government actions."
If you would like to make a purchase, please click on the work below to see the minimum price. All pieces will be shipped unframed. Shipping (within the U.S.) is included. I will donate all funds received to NIJC. If you would prefer to make your own contribution, (so you can receive a receipt for a tax-deductible contribution) please reserve the piece you want and then send me a scan of your donation receipt.
When you click on an image, you will see the title, size and minimum price. All pieces are oil on board. Some boards are very thin, others, linen on gatorboard, but all are archival and will be shipped with the proper backing for framing. When you click on "reserve" it will let you email me directly so we can be in touch about payment, shipping etc. If I receive more than one request for one of the paintings, the first request will be honored, regardless of amount offered. In your email, please provide your full name, address, and amount you wish to donate.
note: These paintings are offered at a discount for this fundraiser only.
sale will be on from February 1-February 14, 2026
